Hebden Green Community Special School in Cheshire were in need of a way to separate areas of their main hall for different types of events and activities that are held there. This large folding or concertina partition provided the perfect solution.
The room divider can be very easily and quickly be opened or closed to adjust the room size and close off the corridor area behind to keep noise and distractions from the main hall area.
When opened the narrow stack style takes up hardly any valuable space at all. With the noise levels of some concern, we used the Acoustic 200 (24 dB) fabric. With the colour scheme already set in the hall – the graduated colours of blue where a perfect choice.

This smaller partition is used to close off the serving area where the children queue up for their food at meal times.At the other end of the hall a single leaf fabric partition was installed in the same blue tones to enable that end of the hall to be opened up or closed off. This creates either one large classroom or two smaller ones depending on what is needed.
