Classroom Dividers Installed at Little Blossums Nursery

Folding fabric partitions work exceptionally well as versatile classroom dividers for schools and nurseries. In 2008 Building Additions provided a folding partition system for the new children’s nursery in Upton-on-Severn, Worcester.

Little Blossoms nursery, a new build project, stood on a renovated farm site and they required a way of dividing the large central area of the building to create 3 separate spaces for looking after toddlers, babies and a quiet area for sleeping children.

Proprietor Jane Clive commented,” Folding partitions were a more versatile solution than walls or fixed partitions as the room could be divided into distinct and private areas but still opened up into one large room when needed for events or activities.”

Assisted by a district development officer, Mrs. Clive specified folding fabric partitions from us, having seen these partitions used as classroom partitions on other education projects. The partitions also met the nursery’s criteria for a system that was easy to operate and could also suppress noise levels to enable children to sleep without disturbance.

Two Acoustic 200 folding fabric partitions were used, one in red and one in canary yellow to co-ordinate with the bright and colourful interior design scheme of the nursery.

Delighted with the partitions, Mrs Clive added, “The fabric partitions are working extremely well for us as a means of dividing the large space. They look great, are not heavy to use and work well at drowning out noise levels so that the separate areas can operate without disturbance from each other.”
